Whatever your level, there are plenty of opportunities to play tennis at Duffield:
At the heart of club life at Duffield is our social tennis programme. Members of any ability can come along to regular social sessions and mix in and play with whoever is there on the day. These are usually doubles, played in a relaxed social atmosphere. However, everyone, of course, still likes to win! Men's and ladies' box leagues also operate - sign up on the notice board at the clubhouse if you would like to join in. The latest ladies' doubles ladder can be viewed here.
Apart from club socials, members also organise their own friendly matches, playing singles or doubles, sometimes as 'fixed fours'. Arranging these matches at quieter times will ensure you get a court more easily. Courts can be booked via the ClubSpark booking page.
We enters men’s, ladies’ and mixed teams in the Derbyshire Area Summer League. We also enter teams into the AEGON National Club League and the Winter Indoor League at Derby Tennis Centre. Duffield has always included county tennis players among their members and at present the membership includes county players in all age groups.
All standards are catered for as our teams play in divisions 1-6, and the captains are always pleased to receive additions to their squads. Anyone interested in playing team tennis should contact the secretary or the team captains. Summer match practice usually starts in late March (Tuesday for ladies, Thursday for men) and matches run from April through to July. More details about playing matches are available on the Team information page.
