Locking up the bad guys - NOW FULLY BOOKED

The police service has been getting a bad press recently, but what is the reality for most of our local officers and what lies ahead when they leave the force?

Glenn Wicks joined Derbyshire Police as a Cadet in 1971 and retired as a Detective Chief Inspector 33 years later.  For the past twenty years he has been a Chief Investigator in the civil service, lately in the Insolvency Service, specialising in insolvency fraud and bankruptcy crime.

Retiring this month after 53 years in law enforcement, Glenn will share with us the highs and lows of his very varied career, particularly his role in investigating the Shedley Manor case at Yeavely, for which he received national and international publicity, including lengthy coverage on BBC’s Panorama. A lively, entertaining evening is promised.
