Teams

Duffield has a good record in the Derby Area League. Duffield ladies have won the league title more than any other club (20 times since 1926) and the men, who are the current champions, have won 12 times in all (including 5 times in the last five years). We usually have 4 ladies' teams, 5 men's and 3 mixed teams playing in the Summer league.

We also have ladies', men's and mixed teams playing in this year's Winter Indoor League at the Derby Tennis Centre.  In 2011-12, Ladies 1 will be captained by Jackie Pearson and Ladies 2 by Judith Eisenberg. Mixed 1 will be captained by both Andy Livingston and Caroline Wood. The Men's Winter League captains are Andy Livingston (Men's 1) and Matt Harrison ( Men's 2).

Anyone interested in playing team tennis should contact the secretary or the team captain. Summer match practice usually starts in late March (Tuesday for ladies, Thursday for men) and matches run from April through to July.
