LADIES & MIXED Tennis
Ladies 1 & Ladies 2 - Currently 6th and 7th in Division 1 respectively. Relegation depends on (Watchorn) the bottom club's final 2 games. Both Duffield's 1st 2 Ladies teams have had a difficult year and hopefully things will improve for 2009.
Ladies 3 - 1st in Division 3. Congratulations on winning the division by a single game, they ended on the same number of points as Darley Dale but the For/Against game difference was 1 better than DD's.
Ladies 4 - 7th in Division 3, relegated. As stated, this was a tough year for most of the Duffield Ladies teams as 2 of them had been promoted last year.
Mixed 1 - 2nd in Division 1. They very nearly won the Division but Derby Tennis Centre remained undefeated this year. Nevertheless it is our highest position for some years.
Mixed 2 - 4th in Division 3. A solid, mid-table position.
Mixed 3 - 2nd in Division 5. An excellent performance, promotion depends on the outstanding results by teams currently below them.

Ladies and Mixed Fixtures, Summer 2008
There were 4 Ladies' teams & 2 Mixed in the 2007 Derbyshire Summer League and in 2008 there will be 3 Mixed teams. The Club Box League has become a mainstay of winter tennis. Over 30 ladies play in these matches and the league welcomes both new and old members.

There are very active ladies' social groups and these play twice a week. All styles, ages and levels are catered for and one of them includes one of the club's longest standing female members, well into her 70's and a member of Duffield since 1960.
 Ladies Doubles
Ladies Night at Duffield is on Tuesdays where ladies can turn up for doubles, starting at 6.30. The new lights on the bottom 3 courts make a big difference to court availability. There is also the opportunity for play on Social Night (Wednesdays) and Sunday mornings Doubles.
