 REDECORATED CLUBHOUSE

Extensive renovations have been carried out at the clubhouse during 2007 - 2008. A new carpet has been laid, cladding on the walls, new furniture, new ceiling etc. A completely new look is now apparent in the club lounge. This makes the lounge one of the most modern and well-presented facilities in the area, it can be hired for parties and functions.

The sports shop is run by Tennis in the summer (currently Field Sports) and Squash in the winter. Discount is given to club members and restrings, racquets, trainers and other sports products are available.

The upstairs bar with subsidised drinks has its' own music and television system, together with a newly fitted kitched and balcony viewing area over the courts.

The clubhouse is shared between the Tennis and the Squash Clubs. There is access to the squash courts, a pool room & a gymnasium; and CCTV covers the site. A Cold Drinks Machine is downstairs, next to the Tennis Office. Both the Ladies and Gents changing rooms were recently refurbished.
The 7 all-weather courts at Duffield mean that tennis can be played throughout the year. Our new floodlights are now working so in total we have 6 floodlit courts.

Practice Wall
Whilst tennis is not a sport for 1-person play as one generally plays with an opponent, Duffield has a practice wall which can prove very useful. It is situated at one end of Court 6, is coloured green and has a painted line added at net height. For those wishing to practice strokes, increase movement or generally improve their game without another person returning the ball, the wall does an excellent job!

Gymnasium
The gym is situated at the end of the squash courts and is normally accessed by walking along the top of the 1st two squash courts then down the stairs. Entry is by a key received at induction, it costs £1 per visit and the gym contains a variety of muscle-toning machines including bicycles, running machines, weights, a side stepper and so on. Closed circuit tv overlooks the entrance and it is a well-used addition to the Club.
